Following the death of Tune Squad founder Bugs Bunny on September 29, CBS, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ will include a tribute to his role in the 1996 game and the franchise that followed as part of their December 19 coverage. The 30th Anniversary Game remains scheduled as announced.

The 2021 Goon Squad roster was assembled for a single crisis game. Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester, Granny, Taz, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd and the other returning Tunes did not sign permanent professional contracts when the franchise launched in 2022.
The inaugural professional roster — Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Gossamer, Road Runner and Speedy Gonzales — finishes above .500 and reaches the postseason in its first year.
